The most important part of a software project is understanding how your operation really works, and that happens best in person. For Calgary and Alberta clients, we travel to your office, plant, or job site to work directly with the people who run the process.
We have run on-site discovery and workshops many times, for organizations from large enterprises to early-stage startups. It is the advantage of working with a local team.
We see the work where it happens, on the shop floor, in the field office, or at the front desk, and watch how your people use today’s tools.
Operators, managers, finance, and IT each see the process differently. We sit down with each group so the requirements reflect the whole operation.
Whiteboard sessions with your team to agree on the workflow, the data, and what the first release must do, before any code is written.
We walk your team through working software in the room, train users at launch, and are on site when the system goes live.
Why Calnetic
The people who scope your project are the people who build it. Our team works out of downtown Calgary, on Mountain time, a short drive or flight from anywhere in Alberta.
Over twenty years of architecture and delivery on large EPC and enterprise programs, the kind of work Alberta’s energy and construction sectors run on.
We connect your ERP, accounting, CRM, and spreadsheets instead of replacing them, so your team keeps working while the new system comes online.
AI goes where it removes manual work, such as reading documents and drafting. Calculations stay in deterministic code, and a person reviews what matters.
We can host applications, databases, and private AI models in Canadian cloud regions, including the AWS Calgary region and Microsoft Azure’s Canadian regions.
We build and operate our own software products, so we know what it takes to keep a system reliable long after launch. Support continues after go-live.

Yes, and we recommend it. For Calgary and Alberta clients, we travel to your office, plant, or job site for walk-throughs, stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, prototype reviews, and go-live training. We have done this many times, for organizations from large enterprises to startups. Day-to-day build work runs remotely, with regular demos of working software.
It depends on scope, the number of systems involved, and how much is new versus connecting what you already run. We start with a short discovery phase, then give you a scoped estimate and a phased plan, so a focused first release reaches your team before the full system is built. Focused applications and integrations typically ship a first production release in 6 to 10 weeks; larger platforms run 3 to 6 months in phased milestones.
Yes. We can deploy applications, databases, and private AI models in Canadian cloud regions, including the AWS Calgary region and Microsoft Azure’s Canadian regions. Your documents are not used to train public AI models.
Yes. Most of our work connects systems that are already in place, through their APIs, database access, or scheduled exports. Your existing tools stay in use, and the manual handoffs between them go away.
Construction and EPC, energy services, manufacturing, law, real estate, retail, agencies, and healthcare, among others. If your industry is not listed, we scope the system around how your process actually runs.
